A Strong Sense of Community

I have experienced a strong sense of community and support from everyone I have encountered here.  One thing I have specifically enjoyed witnessing is the obvious progress and improvement that clients and whole families undergo at our shelter, as case managers and other resources are provided and permanent housing is obtained by formerly homeless families. I leave each shift feeling proud of the effort Homeless Services Center makes to help prevent another member of our community from succumbing to a cyclical life of poverty. This organization has and continues to inspire me to empathize and relate to those whose problems and needs differ from my own and teaches me to exhibit tolerance and acceptance to others. So glad I found this place.
